    碳泥吸附在碳泥沼泽中自然形成,被科学开采。原产自加拿大苔藓碳泥,碳泥吸附是碳氢化合物吸附材料革命性的创新。我们开采的高等级的原料经过特殊干燥工艺处理,赋予了产品无与伦比的吸附能力。当然,碳泥吸附不能和栽培类泥煤相混淆,因为栽培类泥煤全是水分,不能起到吸收的作用。

    苔藓泥煤是可持续的资源。在加拿大有108万平方公里的泥煤,其中只有160平方公里的正在被开发,这说明只有0.02%的泥煤被使用。而它的生长速度是开采速度的70倍。按照现今的开采速度,加拿大苔藓泥煤资源将不会枯竭,可以为一代代人提供宝贵的吸附产品。

碳泥吸附在陆地上的使用:

    对于陆上泄漏,将碳泥吸附撒在泄漏边界,防止碳氢物扩散到更大的范围。如果碳氢物被吸收了,碳泥吸附会从微棕色变成黑色。覆盖更多的碳泥吸附直到不变色为止。

    碳泥吸附是很高效的吸附物,相对其他产品,你只需要使用更少量的碳泥吸附去完成泄漏处理工作。碳泥吸附的吸附能力大约是粘土的10倍。一公斤碳泥吸附大约能吸附8升的碳氢化合物。吸附率取决于碳氢化合物的粘度。如果泄漏发生在室外,从上风口位置撒下去,这样风也能帮助产品扩散开,而且不会被吹回到工人身上。碳泥吸附一接触即吸收。

 

碳泥吸附在水上的使用:

        碳泥吸附本身是疏水性的,因此它会浮在水面。它会在水面上漂浮数天,直到重新开始吸水。但是,被吸附的碳氢物依然会被锁在碳泥吸附里面而不会溢出来。碳泥吸附在处理所有泄漏方面都表现非常优异,特别是海岸线附近,使用撇油器能快速简单的清理泄漏。它同样还能保护自然环境。

建议的后期处理

        碳泥吸附后期可以采用焚烧或填埋来处理。处理方式按照泄漏当地的要求进行。联系当地政府寻求建议和指导。使用后的碳泥吸附可以作为燃料使用来节省能源。每磅能产生大约15000--15500BTU’s的热量,而且能辅助吸收的石油燃烧。

    碳泥吸附将有毒性的碳氢物液体变成固体,以便转移和更快的清理,而大部分情况下,不需要防护装置,对卫生的陆地埋场来说是安全无害的。


 碳泥吸附的好处和使用方法:

Products Origin

Peat Sorb comes from environmentally managed and harvested peat bogs. Peat Sorb is a revolutionary hydrocarbon absorbent made from premium Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss. The high grade raw material we harvest is dehydrated through a unique proprietary heat process which gives it unparalleled absorption capabilities. Peat Sorb is not to be confused with Horticultural peat. Horticultural peat is full of water, and therefore it cannot absorb.


Peat moss is a renewable resource. There are 270,000,000 acres of peat in Canada -- of which only 40,000 acres are being harvested (that's 1 acre out of 6000 acres). That means that only 0.02% of the peat moss areas are being used. Peat moss is growing at a rate 70 times faster than it is being harvested. At this rate of harvesting, our Canadian peat moss resources will not run out and will be able to provide valuable absorbent products for generations to come. APPLICATION OF PEAT SORB ON LAND

For a land spill, apply Peat Sorb around the perimeter of the spill. This will prevent the hydrocarbon from spreading further. If a hydrocarbon is present, Peat Sorb changes color from light brown to black when it comes into contact with the spill. Apply Peat Sorb to the remainder of the spill until it stops changing color. 


Peat Sorb is a highly efficient absorbent, you will require less Peat Sorb than any other product to clean up a spill. Peat Sorb is approximately ten times more efficient than clay based absorbents. One pound of Peat Sorb will absorb approximately 1 U.S. gallon or 4 litres of a hydrocarbon. Absorption rates depend on the viscosity of the hydrocarbon. If the spill occurs outside, apply the Peat Sorb upwind from the spill so that any breezes will aid with the application and the Peat Sorb won’t blow back onto the applicator. Peat Sorb absorbs on contact.


APPLICATION OF PEAT  SORB ON WATER  

Peat Sorb is hydrophobic and therefore it will float on water. Peat Sorb will float for several days before it starts to re-hydrate. However, the hydrocarbon absorbed will continue to be locked up inside the Peat Sorb and will not leach out. Peat Sorb is excellent for cleaning up ALL spills, especially along shorelines, for easy and fast removal with skimmers. It also protects natural environments. RECOMMENDED DISPOSAL  

Peat Sorb can be incinerated or disposed of in landfills. Dispose according to regulations in force at the spill location. Contact local authorities for advice and instructions. Save energy by using your used Peat Sorb as a source of fuel for burning! It will contribute about 15,000 - 15,500 BTU's per lb. and it will assist in the incineration of absorbed oils. 

Peat Sorb turns toxic liquid hydrocarbons into solid for easy removal and faster clean up without the need for protective gear in most cases, Safe for sanitary landfill.


PEAT SORB’S BENEFITS & USES:

The speed with which petroleum products biodegrade is affected by many factors, including oxygen levels, moisture, temperature, acidity, nutrient content and the size and type of natural microbes present. Significant degradation of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil has been documented in time periods of less than three months. Depending upon the nature of the petroleum product, more typical time periods for degradation are in the range of six to eighteen months. The hydrocarbons trapped inside Peat Sorb will biodegrade to Carbon Dioxide, Water and Oxygen. Peat Sorb breaks down last to become a fertilizer. Peat Sorb is light weight for easy handling and transportation. One 30 lb. bale of Peat Sorb will effectively do the same job as 10 bags of clay, resulting in significant savings in time, labor, remediation and storage costs. 


Peat Sorb is non-abrasive. For abrasive wear to happen machinery must come in contact with another substance of equal or greater hardness. Peat Sorb, with a hardness of about 1 will not damage steel which has a hardness factor of 5. Clay, the most commonly used inorganic sorbent, has a hardness exceeding 6 and will damage metal parts and cause deterioration of rubber and plastic parts. Peat Sorb can be used around all machinery without damaging expensive equipment. Most petroleum products are extremely volatile. Effective spill response involves rapid limitation of exposure pathways to prevent skin contact, inhalation or ingestion. The vapor-suppressive and static-resistant qualities of Peat Sorb are significant safety features for spill response crews.
